I describe myself as a laid back, down to earth, small-town girl with big dreams. I moved to Arizona from Nebraska in 2004 and have been calling the desert home ever since.
Growing up, I dreamt of becoming a fashion designer. I received a full-ride scholarship to fashion school, but in an unexpected turn of event decided to ditch that dream and enrolled in massage school in 2008. A year later I enrolled in esthetic school.
I worked for a few local day spas, but ultimately I decided to rent a space inside of a beauty salon and started building a clientele because I knew that one day I wanted to own my own spa.
One random day in 2015, I decided that it was time to open Serene Life Spa. Though I had no former business training, I had optimism, ambition, and perseverance. I strongly believe these are the ingredients to success. You cannot fail if you don't give up!
It has not been an easy road, but in less than three years, I was able to move my spa from a modest 500 sf suite tucked away in a courtyard behind a gas station to an 1100 sf storefront space in a prime location.
I have since renamed the spa to Spa Serene because we're extra now (ha). I am super excited for what the future holds and cannot wait to share the sanctuary I have created with each and every one of you!
Be careful if you run into me at the spa because I love to chit chat!
Cheers to the future!
I opened Serene Nail Bar in December 2020. It is located one block north of Spa Serene on Indian School and Scottsdale Rd. Please check it out if you haven't yet! Spa Serene also went through a major renovation/expansion in June 2021 and is now standing at 1,450 sf. I have added a second bathroom/shower, a small nail studio, a second couples massage room, and many more surprises!
